This summer's wave of hot sun struck the US
WASHINGTON - The hot weather with temperatures reaching 37 degrees Celsius hit the west and east coast of the United States (US) yesterday and is expected to continue throughout the Independence Day holiday tomorrow, National Weather Agency (NWS) said.
Maryland Burmese Weather Forecast Center meteorologist Patrick Burk said more than 113 million US citizens were under alert or hot air advice from the Mississippi Valley to the city of Philadelphia, Chicago and include New York, Boston, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
"The word to tell this situation is hot," Burke said.
The first heat wave in the US east recorded a new high temperature in Syracuse, New York yesterday, reaching 37 degrees, "Burke said.
According to him, the city of St. Louis to New York, Chicago and Boston will approach temperatures of 37 degrees Celsius but humid weather will cause people to feel warmer.
"This week will be a hot week anywhere in the US east.
"Residents who are at risk need to find shelter," he said.
The hot weather is dangerous to young children, senior citizens and those with health problems.
